My rib cage rattled against my heart, thumping in endless beats. I screamed in silent pain as the bitter, piercing water surrounded my body. The currents pulled me alongside it's anger, its lies, every single ounce of hatred it held within, yelling its bloody words into my barren skin.
Strands of my hair rapped around my neck as I clawed at my throat. The serene air I once held was now floating away in hopeless bubbles. I kicked the invisible demon beneath me, praying that I had injured the source of this hell. My chest tightened and my eye lids began to fall.

I glanced at my palm resting against the tree. My weak bones were alive once more. Lifting my chin up to the heavens, I closed my eyes and raised my arms. My tongue danced beneath my lips, finally opening to a gently whisper
